Dr. Pooya Banapour is a general urologist and urologic oncologist who specializes
in minimally invasive urologic surgery. Dr Banapour obtained his BS in
Physiological Science at UCLA where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with
departmental honors. He received his medical training at the UC San Diego
School of Medicine where he developed an interest in surgery and academic
urology. He completed his general surgery internship and urology residency
at Kaiser Los Angeles Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident
in urologic surgery in 2018-2019.
His attraction to advanced laparoscopy and robotic surgery led him to accomplish
a fellowship in robotic urology and urologic oncology at the esteemed
City of Hope Medical Center. He completed additional post-graduate training
in reconstructive and female urology at City of Hope.
