Whittier Hospital Medical Center Emergency Services commitment is to see
you in 30 minutes or less. From arrival until you are initially seen by
an Emergency Room Provider.
The sooner we see you, the faster we can help!
Our Emergency department is staffed 24 hours a day, with physicians experienced
in Emergency Medicine. We are always ready to treat serious injuries or
dangerous symptoms in adults and children.
Our goal is to provide you with efficient and compassionate emergency care.
Our full-service ER enables physicians and staff to treat injuries or
dangerous symptoms in adults and children.

Useful Information
- ER entrance located in rear of the hospital, off Janine Drive
- Social Services available Monday through Friday during business hours
- Patients will receive separate bills for emergency room physician, specialists,
radiology, laboratory and ambulance (if applicable)
- Whittier Hospital bills patients' insurance companies directly
- Emergency service is not based on an ability to pay
Visiting Guidelines
Each patient is allowed one visitor.
Due to special situations in an ER setting, family members may be asked
to remain in the waiting area, or the number of visitors may be limited.
Visitors in the patient care area are asked to remain at the patient's bedside.
Our staff will make every effort to keep family members and friends informed
of your condition and treatment.
We hope you never need us, but if you or a loved one has an emergency,
you can count on us to be there for you.
